Electric Pulp

Helping others is a beautiful thing! With all the disasters and horrible events going on in the world, it’s refreshing to know that there are a number of companies that offer charitable items and contributions to great causes. This is something I took great pride in when I worked for MAC Cosmetics.
MAC’s mission is, “ALL Ages, All Races and All Sexes” and they truly try to stand by this slogan. Here are some products that allow you to be involved in helping others.

MAC “Viva Glam” Charity Program
The Viva Glam program raises money for the MAC Aids Fund that raises funds for patients with HIV and AIDS. The products sold in the Viva Glam program are lipstick, lip gloss and lip glass. Each year, the products are updated and the products from the previous year are still available too. The greatest thing about the Viva Glam program is that 100% of the profits are donated to AIDS Charities. MAC had donated more than $125 million dollars as of 2008 and the number continues to grow.

Such celebrities that have endorsed the MAC Viva Glam program are Ru Paul, Christina Aguilera, Lady Gaga, Cyndi Lauper, Pamela Anderson, Missy Elliott, Boy George, Mary J. Blige, Shirley Manson, Dita Von Teese, Fergie, Lil Kim, Linda Evangelista, Chloe Sevigny, and Elton John.

Other Charitable Makeup Products:
Rock & Republic – “Rock the Cure” Lip Gloss – All profits of this item are donated to the City of Hope, an L.A. based cancer treatment center.

CoverGirl “Clean Makeup” – CoverGirl is providing fresh water through the Children’s Safe Drinking Water Program

Elizabeth Arden “Limited-Edition Gold 100th Anniversary” Lipstick – all proceeds go to Look Good…Feel Better®, a global charitable organization designed to help individuals with cancer look good, improve their self-esteem, and thereby manage their treatment and recovery with greater confidence

About Me:
I worked at Mac Cosmetics for 3 1/2 years and have been a makeup artist for over 9 years. After meeting tons of amazing people, I wanted to work full time with O’Neill while continuing to freelance makeup for weddings and special events. I am currently in my 4th year with O’Neill as the E-commerce Operations Assistant. I love that I am able to still do makeup and also work for such a great company!

Here’s my blog!
