Manicure Monday

Electric Pulp

Today’s Manicure Monday is celebrating how awesome the 4th of July is! We call this bad boy the Stars & Stripes manicure because we created it to resemble the American flag! What we loved most about this manicure is the simplicity behind it. No need to spend hours hand painting tiny American flags on each finger, this manicure has all your bases covered and gets the point across!

What You’ll Need:
-Orly Bonder basecoat (optional)
-Red nail polish
-Blue nail polish
-Blue glitter nail polish (or regular glitter polish will work fine!)
-Clear top coat nail polish

How To Do It Yourself:

Step 1: Start off by applying the Orly Bonder as your basecoat to all your nails (this will prevent nail color from chipping or wearing off). Let dry for about 5 minutes. Next starting with your right hand only, take your red nail polish and paint half of each nail (be sure to skip your pointer finger because this nail will be entirely blue). See attached image as an example.

Step 2: You will now be using your blue nail polish to paint the reverse of step 1. Fill in any un-painted nails with blue nail polish (this includes your left hand if you’d like your manicure to look like ours). Then wait about 10 minutes for the polish to dry.

Step 3: Paint your right hand pointer finger and all of your left hand with the blue nail polish glitter to add that extra star spangled look! Let dry for about 5 minutes.

Step 5: Apply a layer of clear top coat to seal in your new manicure and you’re all done!
