O’Neill Girls team rider Malia Manuel surfed her way to a Quarterfinal finish at the Roxy Pro in France where she fell short to 2012 Women’s World Champion Steph Gilmore. Despite surf conditions, Malia showed her all around surfing from 1ft lefts to 6ft stormy rights. Malia is currently ranked #7 on the World Championship Tour and will be looking for a strong finish at the US Open of Surfing at the end of this month to claim the 2012 Rookie of The Year!

Also at the event was O’Neill Girls team rider Sage Erickson who was showing off her back hand in the small waves on tap for the Roxy Pro. She suffered from an early Round 2 loss but will be heading home to prepare for the US Open of Surfing coming up at the end of this month. Sage will be looking for a big result in Huntington to end her 2012 WT year with a bang and we’re wishing her all the luck!
