TRVLR EXPEDITION 20" HYBRID SHORTS

These are the best shorts I’ve found. The material is strong and the zipper pockets secure your things. Not to mention the Velcro waistband adjusters are the best part for me. No need to wear a belt to keep them on because the Velcro adjusters snug things up.

Love the use of stretch cordura fabric, I'm sure that part will last. In the past with old traveller shorts which I beat the hell out of, what failed was the button and zippers and also holes in the thinner fabric. This button looks attached better and the zipper feels pretty good too but time will tell as it's still rather thin. Stitching looks pretty good throughout. I think what would make it great is if it came in a 19" and they fixed the waist adjusters. I do love the cargo pocket, I wish the 19" East Cliff shorts had that and those would be my favorite. These are super similar to the East Cliff's except 1" longer so sit at the knee vs slightly above, and the waist fitment seems different too. I bought both in 33" but these ones fit looser and the velcro waist adjusters come basically tightened all the way- in other words there's no possibility of tightening more with the waist adjusters, but you could loosen it. That is backwards of how waist adjusters should work and could be my example only. The East Cliffs come correct with waist adjusters loosened all the way, so that if you need to tighten them you can do so using the adjusters (good for minor weight fluctuation/swimming etc). Weird fitment and personal preference aside these are awesome shorts, unfortunately the waist adjuster issue and 20" knee led me to keep the East Clilffs instead. If the east cliffs just had a cargo pocket they would be perfect for me!

The zippered pockets create peace of mind, especially when on the move. I used them almost everyday on a recent trip trekking in Vietnam. Passport, wallet, and phone each had its own secure pocket and I never had to worry about losing. I could access items easily when needed.

I went swimming twice in them and they stood in for board shorts well enough. Also a fast way to get them clean when there’s no convenient laundry nearby. They dried fast too.

I like these shorts so much that I’m tempted to buy another pair. However I like to pack light and one pair really got me through my recent trip without the need for a second one so I’m going to hold off.

Very good product — especially for those who appreciate multiple zippered pockets. Only complaint (not with the product) is that it took much longer for the package to arrive than I expected. In this day and age companies need to figure out how to send their products to customers faster.
