"When I was selecting a hood, I second guessed the thicker neoprene hoods and bought this one and it's perfect. It fits beautifully under my kayak helmet and keeps my head warm and the water out of my ears when kayak wave surfing ( and rolling) in 50 to 55° waters. Also fits easily in the small shoulder pocket of my dry suit."

"In powerful waves in Mexico is gets blown off your head, either comes off or washes into shore (which is great is floats) I have ear plugs in with a hood over the top and duct tape it down. The water still gets in my ear and I have constant ear infections. Hopefully find something to stop the water getting in"
