A good supermarket short
"The drawstring setup, with a single string going all the way around the waist is a good design for keeping the shorts on in surfy water. Also, the inside of the waistband seems to be a lot less slippery than the rest of the interior, a popular recent and popular way to help keep the waistband in place. The side pockets are more OK for surfing or bodyboarding than swimming. They have a bit of downside with the mesh pocket material making chafing possible. There’s a reason why some of the more ambitious boardshort designs create smooth interiors. The seams are all very sturdily sewn, boardshort-standard style, so these shorts are safe for volleyball or energetic water. The fabric design is kind of loud, so maybe you don’t want to wear a Hawaiian shirt with it."

"I’m 6’4, 220lbs, and these shorts fit perfectly. I like boardshots to be above my knee and to fit tightly around my legs and these do that whithout being to tight or too loose. The material is very light and feels nice around your skin. The quality is excellent so, I don’t expect to buy new boardshorts for a while."
