A CONVERSATION WITH NOAH WEGRICH

Noah Wegrich is still the new guy on Team O'Neill. He seems nice enough, but we wanted to get to know him a little better before the next trip. Turns out he’s fairly well-rounded, taking inspiration from more than a few different places. Here’s a short conversation with Noah Wegrich…

A CONVERSATION WITH NOAH WEGRICH

What are you looking forward to in 2019?
What I’m looking forward to In 2019 is seeing some good music maybe checking some surf spots off the old bucket list. Just sort of take it all in! We only get one lap so I want to stop and smell the roses! Might as well experience everything I can while I have the chance right?

Music you’ve been stoked on lately?
Crap eyewear made this playlist on Spotify that has been keeping vibes HIGH. https://open.spotify.com/user/ybu6oaf6pz0hfm529xsn0a3iz/playlist/2ke4KhfneMJm4SiPZw144J?si=dJrftPP1SBeS9ezT0aZVzQ

What keeps you inspired?
I’m inspired by pretty much everything around me. The world constantly inspires me from nature, art, photography, food, and cinematography... the list goes on and on. I am probably most inspired by the people I look up too and surround myself with. I’m lucky because I've gotten to work with some of my hero’s already... guys like Nate Tyler, Perry Gershkow, Travis Reynolds, Wilem Banks, Thomas Campbell, Mark Mcinnis, Julien Smith, Darshan Gooch, Adam Replogle, and my dad Mark Wegrich. I guess I’m inspired by too many people to name them all! (Laughs)

Hobbies outside of surf?
Skateboarding, photography, art, and fashion... these are the things I live for!

Go to beer?
Hazy IPA.

Favorite spot to surf when you’re back home?
Just the local beach I grew up at honestly. The waves suck 60 percent of the time but it’s home. It's more about the people you share them with.

Favorite place you’ve traveled to?
Maybe New Zealand or Hawaii! Both are places I feel comfortable in.

What’s one thing that most people don’t know about you?
I love reading.
