WOMEN OF THE WAVE X HSS
A Morning of Community: Women of the Wave x HSS
It was a warm and sunny Saturday morning. Huntington Beach buzzed with energy as we hosted another Women of the Wave event during HSS's Demo Day. The gathering celebrated community, connection, and ocean-inspired wellness, by some of our industry's elite.
The day started with a Wave Ki demonstration by legendary surfer Brad Gerlach. He broke down the art of fluid movement, offering tips to elevate technique in the water. His passion for the sport was contagious, inspiring attendees to apply his insights to their next surf session.
Next, Morgan Hoesterey, founder of Water Logged, led a stimulating breathwork seminar. The session was a deep dive into the power of mindful breathing for both surfing and everyday life. We learned techniques to enhance our focus and ways to boost energy through breath.
The morning wrapped up with Jessie Salas guiding a Foundation Training class, blending functional movement and core strength exercises to promote balance and injury prevention. Whether seasoned surfers or beginners, everyone left with practical tools to support their bodies and elevate their wave-riding skills.
The Women of the Wave event wasn’t just about fitness and technique — it was a celebration of community. With the sun shining and good vibes in/out of the water, it perfectly captured the spirit of what it means to be a Woman of the Wave. We left excited for our next event - stay tuned for details!
