Thatcher Johnson, born on February 25, 2003, is a talented surfer from Hawaii's North Shore, residing directly in front of the iconic Pipeline break. Growing up in this surf-rich environment, he has honed his skills on some of the world's most challenging waves.  

Beginning his competitive surfing journey in the 2019 Men's Junior Tour, Johnson has steadily advanced in the sport. In the 2024/2025 World Surf League Men's Qualifying Series, he secured the 45th position, achieving two heat wins with an average heat score of 11.25.  

Beyond competitions, Johnson's surfing style has garnered attention for its smoothness and technique. A Surfline feature from 2021 highlighted his progression and presence at Pipeline, noting his dedication and natural talent.  

Off the waves, Johnson maintains a humble demeanor and a strong connection to his community. In a profile by Boardriding.com, he shared personal interests such as enjoying food, music by Imagine Dragons, and a lighthearted appreciation for the film "Billy Madison."  

As of March 2025, Johnson continues to compete and travel, aiming to further refine his skills and embrace larger waves. His ongoing journey reflects a deep commitment to surfing and a bright future ahead.
